Scoon Ferguson wrote a number of genre novels in the 1990s. For reasons we're struggling to remember, What Fresh Hell Books Ltd decided to publish them a quarter of a century later. We are truly sorry. But it's done now, so if you like your horror visceral, sweary, and set in '90s Northumberland, UK, you're in for a real treat. Splatterpunk horror Pause Stop Eject was actually the third novel he wrote, but we thought it would make a hell of a debut, so it came out first, followed by psychological horror The Deadhouse in 2024.

In real life, Scoon Ferguson is in charge of making plays and concerts look and sound good at a local arts venue. They don't know he writes twisted horror, and it's probably best kept that way.
